Shall be go to a Spa?

Hi everybody!

It's time to show you little places to discover here in Abu Dhabi. In this case, I'll show you Namm, the spa of the Dusit Thani hotel, a thai style decorated in a modern building, one of many in this city, located in the 925 Muroor Street in the south of Abu Dhabi.
Located in lvl 21, the attention was fantastic, they give you a request about your pain to treat and some other relevant information about you, some drinks while you are waiting and guide you to the treatment room.
In our case, my husband and I got a thai massage, without oils just preassure. They gave us some clothe as you can see in the last picture. And we were ready!
It was a great experience. The treatment was one of the best I've ever received, quite similar to the one we got some months ago in Thailand. They focus on your muscles, moving your extremities to different possitions to get all over your body.
Sincerely fantastic.
In addition, they give you a loyalty card so when you repeate you get different discounts.
In our case, for sure we will.

Introducing Abu Dhabi

Hi everybody!

Let me introduce you Abu Dhabi, capital of the UAE, Dubai's neighbor and the city that I'm discovering.
Whether you come to visit or to work, I think this map will be useful for you.

  • The red island, the main, is Abu dhabi, where the city was born not so long ago. An artificial public beach along Corniche road, is located at the north,  a perfect place to enjoy water sports or just take a walk.
  • The two islands beside to the east are Al Reem and Al Marya islands, planned to be similar to the Dubai Marina, plenty of skycrapes surrounded by water, with their own Marina. Many westerns are moving to this zone because of the proximity to the city and the beautiful views.
  • The blue island is called Saadiyat or cultural district, with amazing beaches and where the museums like Guggenhein and Louvre are going to be placed.
  • The green island is Yas, where you can find the famous Ferrari World, Yas waterworld (the best water park of Abu Dhabi) and the Yas mall, the secound biggest mall in the UAE but still in construction.
  • The two zones in orange are called Khalifa City A & B, a residencial villas zones, where most of westerns have moved. It's a good place to be, but this part is more desert as you get in.
  • Other residence area is the pink one, called Al Raha, where are mostly appartments with sea views and private beaches.
  • The grey zone is where is located the airport and a self-sufficient "city" called Masdar.
  • Finally, the purple area is completely natural, form by small islands and mangrooves.

In general, the Island of Abu Dhabi is plenty of skycrapers, big avenues with minimum three lanes and public parks. Unlike other countries of Middle East, you feel more like in New York than in the middle of the desert. Also because it's one of the cleanest cities in the world. Its amazing how they take care of even the smallest details, such as fountains, flowers or recently cut grass.

Here I leave you some pics of the city so you can make an idea. In the next posts I'll show you in detail how are the day-to-day living in Abu Dhabi.
